Fly to Colombo and take a short drive to Negombo for a free afternoon before journeying to Habarana for a jeep safari through Minneriya National Park. Rise early to explore Sri Lanka's most magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Sites, then visit the Dambulla Cave Temple enroute to Kandy for a guided food walk through the city's bustling street stalls. Spend a day in Nuwara Eliya before boarding a scenic train to Demodara and visiting the Halpewatte Tea Factory in Ella. The journey back to Colombo descends from the highlands along Sri Lanka's beautiful coastline, with stops at Ravana Ella Falls and the historic Galle Fort along the way.
